Three boards a month — one beginner, one intermediate, one expert. Everyone who arrives this month solves the same three.

Why three

One level only shows one side of your game. Beginner asks how fast your hands are; expert asks how long you stay accurate. Huge (30×30) is left out — on a narrow screen it has to be scrolled sideways, which would let the device decide the result.

The total needs all three

Adding up only what you finished makes the person who finished less look faster. The record-keeping body ranks by the sum of all three levels for the same reason. Only your fastest time on each board is kept, and you can replay them as often as you like.

There is no leaderboard

The site serves static files, so there is nowhere to collect anyone else's times from. Invented rivals would be possible, but that would mean knowing how many boards a person finishes in an hour — and that has never been measured here. A ranking built on a number nobody checked is wrong in a convincing way, so there isn't one. For now the opponent is your own time from last month.

When the month changes

At midnight on the first of the month, on your own clock. The three boards come from the month itself, so everyone playing in September gets September's three. A board counts for the month it was dealt in — the month your clock showed when you opened the page.
